Reflection

My design in comparison to “Project 5 Final Drawing” has a few similarities. The project completed was for an art gallery had the representation of map and trace. The project investigates shadow as a repetition, using various and duplicated pointed and sharp objects to influence the effect of light and shadow. It also incorporates open space but still can being very dense and compacted in shape. As similar to my own design, it is as well open space being very public and also having various rectangular prisms of different dimensions positioned unorderly at various ends of the design. It also has various orientations facing at different angles. From the selected image, it is a front projection showing the vast opening of the front. Though being opened, the project inherits the dense and compact sense with the tight space for the human figurine standing next to the blue box which takes up most of the space. The irony of this could have a particular meaning which could suggest openness doesn’t necessarily mean vast space, which could relate to my design.

Making Simple Stairs on SketchUp

Sections with Art Work inside.

Two sectional images showing the artwork of Richard Goodwin (Moth) and Ricky Swallow ( Model for a Sunken Monument ) respectively. The upper studio will be for Goodwin because of his organic nature in his works while the bottom studio is for Swallow where it represents most of his plastic and synthetic works.
